Barb Vicory is a skilled leader and fundraiser with over 20 years of experience in grant making and grant seeking. Her practical and thoughtful perspective is informed by work in private, nonprofit, and public sectors as well as being a small business owner herself. Barb is a trusted advisor, helping individual leaders and organizations achieve maximum results and develop efficient and effective operations.
Barb has solid educational background including Masters degrees in Urban Planning and Social Work from University of Michigan and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Smith College. She has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) for over a decade.
Barb is experienced in all major nonprofit segments: Education, Arts & Culture, Environment, Health and Human Services. She has worked with many of the area’s leading philanthropists, corporate citizens and officials. In addition, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits (ACN) as Vice President of Member Services.
Barb grew up in suburban Long Island and lives in Chicago with her partner of 20 years. She enjoys golf and long hikes along the lakefront.
